The newest update to historical shooter Battlefield V is set to drop tomorrow, and developer DICE has unveiled a huge list of patch notes detailing the changes in the massive late June update.

Two of the major focuses of the update has been to improve the Team Deathmatch and the Frontline modes, with many of the maps seeing tweaks made to them to improve player's experiences when playing; the post details that the main focuses of these map tweaks is to 'increase intensity and give players a more consistent experience by reducing the size of combat areas and focusing on specific map locations.'

Meanwhile on the Frontlines mode, the team wanted to make a raft of improvements based on the four key pillars of round length, objective “ping-pong” – which means that some of the times to capture flags has been adjusted –  accessibility and changing the locations of where vehicles spawn in the maps.

Indeed, this patch contains a whole raft of changes and tweaks to weapons too, such as adding a delayed fuse to AP mines as well as increasing their radius by 20%, and increasing the maximum number placed from two to three.  There's a fair few quality of life tweaks as well, including stopping repeated sounds playing of the aircraft during flybys and the fixing of a bug that caused the 'end of round' music to play for the entire duration of a round.

There's a lot – and we mean a lot – of patch notes – far too many to go into here – but you can read the full list of changes and tweaks in this massive patch here on the Battlefield V website before the patch goes live on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 tomorrow.
