Naughty Dog has released a new live update for The Last of Us Remastered that should “hopefully” reduce matchmaking times for the game’s multiplayer.

Some players have reported suffering lengthy wait times while attempting to find a multiplayer match following the game’s launch last week, and while Naughty Dog acknowledges that today’s update “is not a full fix”, it should go some way to resolving the issue.

“We are still working on a patch which should dramatically improve matchmaking times and we’ll get into more detail about that a bit later,” the developer added.

The update also fixes an issue with the Flamethrower damage, which was out of sync with the PS3 version.

To get the update, back out of Factions and then re-enter. You’ll know you’ve got once the version counter updates to 1.01.012.
