PlayStation and Naughty Dog have revealed a full list of accessibility features for next week’s launch of The Last of Us Part I.

For the PlayStation 5 remake, the team has taken their cues from their extensive work on accessibility for The Last of Us Part II back in 2020.

While that game had an impressive list of options around the 60 mark, this time there’s nearly 100 different options to select from to tailor the game to your needs.

These include obvious tweaks, like subtitles, difficulty options and control presets. However, there’s also a lot of finer, granular options in there, like switching between hold or toggle for things like crafting, Sprinting or Listen Mode.

There’s also a range of visual aids, like HUD scaling, high contrast displays, a screen magnifier to name but a few. That’s in addition to highlighting enemies, colour blind modes, motion sickness toggles and many, many more.

There’s also a trailer showing off some of these modes, which you can see down below. It’s wonderful to see a developer take such measures to ensure its games can be enjoyed by as many people as possible, and we whole-heartedly approve.
