The sequel to Naughty Dog's much-lauded The Last of Us, aptly titled The Last of Us Part II, may be coming out in February, 2020.
Eurogamer spotted an interview Ashley Johnson did with Critical Role where she was asked for a release date, and the actress who plays Ellie sounds like she begins to say February before being cut off by the interviewer. Here, have a listen for yourself:
On top of that, Kotaku's Jason Schreier recently tweeted that The Last of Us 2 was originally planned for launch later this year, but he had heard the February window, too.
Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release. The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4 https://t.co/wh6kimA73b

We know that things are winding down on production of The Last of Us Part 2, so February doesn't seem too farfetched. Plus, I can only imagine, PlayStation will be putting all their Hideo Kojima-shaped eggs on store shelf baskets, later this year, with Death Stranding. The folks at Sony would hardly release the mushroom zombies at the same time as the USB babies. Give Daryl from The Walking Dead some breathing space, eh?
