In The King of Fighters Neowave twelve of the most dangerous fighting teams ever assembled are formed, comprising of the greatest characters from SNK’s 11-year history. Pick your team of fighters and fight it out in three-on-three battles. Two of these teams are Women Fighters Team (Mai, King and Yuri) and the Fatal Fury Team (Terry, Joe, and Andy). In total the game will feature 43 characters of which seven are bonus unlockable characters. A new “Heat Mode” gives players the ability to charge up an attack in order to cause more damage, at the cost of gradual health loss.
Three modes of play are available to choose from: Super Cancel, Guard Break and Max2. By linking a special move with a super attack whilst playing in the Super Cancel Mode you will be able to cause extreme damage.
The King of Fighters Neowave is scheduled for release on Xbox in North America in March, 2006. A European release is yet to be confirmed.
