Based in the hit ABC-TV series, Desperate Housewives the video game is described as a lifestyle simulation, where players take on the role of a new housewife who moves into Wisteria Lane (where the television series is set) and discovers the scandals hidden away in what at first appears to be the perfect neighbourhood.
“The global popularity and success of ‘Desperate Housewives’ is unsurpassed and provided the perfect inspiration for a Windows PC game that captures the essence of the series,” said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager, Buena Vista Games.
The game is split into a 12-episode story scripted by series writer Scott Sanford, so expect the same combination of drama and dark humour that the series is famous for. Brenda Strong, who plays the deceased housewife Mary Alice Young reprises her role and serves as the narrator for each episode in the game, just as she does in the TV series.
Desperate Housewives is available now in North America and will be released in Europe on November 3.
