EA and Paramount Digital Entertainment have announced two new versions of The Godfather video game: The Godfather The Don’s Edition for PlayStation 3 and The Godfather Blackhand Edition for the Wii.

The Godfather The Don’s Edition will include the new gameplay and missions found in The Corleone Expansion Pack, and will take advantage of the Sixaxis controller’s tilt sensing capabilities. EA says that to manhandle the in-game characters you’ll have to manhandle the controller.

The Godfather Blackhand Edition on the Wii will offer gamers a new gameplay experience, using motion-based control to convert player movement into actions in the game. The game will also offer “pinpoint firearm accuracy“, using the Wii-mote to take aim.

We’re also told that both games will offer brand new ways to go from Soldier to Don, following the path of an Enforcer or Operator. Chat up specific characters to get the low-down on dirty cops, take down two additional revised compounds of rival Families, execute five new contract hits, and call in larger Corleone Hit Squads when the going gets tough.

Both titles are in development at EA Redwood Shores and are scheduled for release in March.
