Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will be coming to Switch this month, as announced by its official Twitter account today.

The three classics’ will coincide with Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age, releasing on September 27. The first Dragon Quest came out in 1986, and offers a short campaign with a simple playstyle but it’s revered as the guiding light for the many JRPGs that came after it. Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line expanded upon the world of its predecessor, quite literally. To explore these new frontiers, Hero was accompanied by three unique party members and engaged in notoriously challenging battles to defeat the villainous Hargon. Then, Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation closes the Erdrick trilogy with the impossible task of slaying Baramos, the master of darkness who has corrupted the land of Aliahan.
Dragon Quest will be $4.99, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line will be $6.49, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will be $12.49. The West will only receive a digital version of the three games, but if you don’t mind waiting a little longer, players will be able to purchase the physical edition with English subtitles from Asian retail stores (thanks, Nintendo Everything and Nintendo Life).
Also, Dragon Quest’s Hero is a DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but not everyone's happy to see him.
