2K Sports has released the first trailer for NBA 2K18, and it looks pretty darn good. The latest instalment of the NBA series of games improves the detail on every level, right down to perfectly crafted armpit hair and wrinkles on elbows. It even has detailed tattoos, stretch marks and scars. The players now look and move closer to the real thing than even before. At least, that’s what 2K will probably have you believe anyway.

Developer Visual Concepts has apparently rebuilt all the players from the ground up, so they look, well, rather good it also has cool, if weirdly specific, details like ‘improved teeth lighting’ and a less dead behind the eyes look to all the players. The new modelling system ensures that players real body shapes are accurate and so on. Basically, all the features that the fans asked for.

The trailer announces that this year’s The Prelude experience demo will release on September 8 all progress from this will transfer into the MyCareer mode in NBA 2K18. It’s not long now until you can do what King James didn’t manage last season, and take the Cavs to the NBA Championship. All In!

NBA 2K18 is out on September 19 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Players who pre-order the game will get access from September 15. Initially the Nintendo Switch version will be released digitally with a physical release to follow later in 2017.
