The First Descendant game director, Minseok Joo, has said Nexon will “decide on” adding item-to-item trading after monitoring the new Season 3 Episode 2 trading system that is slightly delayed to November 20th.
In a video explaining the trading system delay, community manager, Jason, asked if there are any plans to add item-to-item trades in the future. Minseok Joo (translated by Jason) explained that item-to-item trades are difficult because “trading items directly can introduce various operational issues, and it would further increase the complexity of the web trade market”.
While it won’t be available for Season 3 Episode 2, Joo said that Nexon “will decide on this [item-to-item trades] after introducing the trading system and monitoring its stabilization.” This isn’t a commitment for item-to-item trades being added, but at least Nexon are listening to fans and are willing to see whether it is plausible.
As for the trading system coming on November 20th, its delay is because Nexon are changing the trading fee from Caliber to Gold based on “negative feedback” from the community and streamers. It is a one-to-one trading system that will work through Albion’s Trading Terminal, but you will only be able to use it after “completing trade-related quests and meeting the required Mastery Rank conditions”.

While we have to wait a couple of weeks for the new trading system to arrive, the good news is that the Bayonetta crossover is available right away. So far, TFD has collaborated with Nier and Bayonetta, and Nexon are constantly taking crossover requests “under review”. The next most heavily requested crossover is surely Eve from Stellar Blade, and fans on PC can at least dress Bunny up as Eve thanks to Stellar Blade mods.
