The Xbox One and PS4 release of The Elder Scrolls Online could be closer than we think, with the Microsoft Store listing the game for release on February 24.

February could be a placeholder date set by the store, but Bethesda has recently said it would reveal info on the console version of the MMO early this year. Other retailers, such as Amazon, list the game for release on December 31, 2015, which is a clear example of a placeholder date.

Last month, game director Matt Firor wrote that fans should “expect to see lots of news about our console versions in early 2015”.

Rumours of the console release come around the same time that retail copies of the PC title were removed from stores in Australia, sparking speculation that the MMO would be switching to a free-to-play model.
