The Elder Scrolls Online will launch worldwide on April 4, 2014, Bethesda has announced. The game will launch simultaneously on PC and Mac, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions to follow in June.

Elder Scrolls Online is a major MMORPG based on the popular role-playing series that sees players returning to Tamriel around 1,000 years before the events of Skyrim.

The game also requires a monthly subscription fee to play, although a cost for the subscription has yet to be confirmed.

Players interested in giving it a go can also sign up for the beta via the game’s official website, with new invites thought to be rolling out fairly regularly.
