Bethesda has announced that it will release a new expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online this summer, which will take players to the Summerset Isle, the home of the High Elves.
Fans of the fantasy role-playing series will probably be made up to hear this news, as it’ll be the first time that gamers are able to visit the Summerset Isle since The Elder Scrolls: Arena, which released way back in 1994.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset Isle will launch for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on June 5, and sees the High Elves’ homeland under threat by the Daedrea. As such, players must cobble together a loyal group of chums and overthrow a ‘shadowy conspiracy that threatens all of Tamriel.’
Bethesda confirmed that this new location will be meatier in size than last year’s already-hefty Morrowind expansion, and will continue the narrative that kicked off with the Orsinium DLC. In addition, players can also get to grips with some new magical abilities by joining the Psijic Order and craft new and powerful gear for their character.
The Elder Scrolls Online launched back in 2014 and has received extensive support from its developer ever since. To be fair, the MMORPG is probably in a better state than it was at launch, as we were’t too impressed with the game at the time.
