Following on from the free trial of Dishonored 2, Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online is going to be free to play on all platforms. The free play week runs from tomorrow, April 11, to April 18.

This is, presumably, also to drive interest in the big update TESO is getting in a couple of months. The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, named for one of the most popular games in the Elder Scrolls series, is coming on June 6.

The free play week will have no restrictions, you’ll be able to play all of the Tamriel Unlimited base game, and there’ll be full carry-over for any progression you make. So, if you play a load of it and decide you want to get the full game, you won’t have to start your questing all over again. All told, it’s very similar to the free play weekend-that-was-basically-a-week that TESO ran a few months ago.

If you want to give The Elder Scrolls Online a go then downloads for Xbox One, PS4 and Steam will be available from 3pm BST tomorrow. You can download it as normal from your online store of choice.
