The Crew’s Companion App will not be available to download until early 2015, the game’s box has revealed.
The setback means that the app won’t be available alongside the game’s release tomorrow, although the reason for its delay has not been clarified by Ubisoft.
Ubisoft was unable to comment at the time of publication.
According to the box, the Companion App allows players to explore the full world map via their mobile device, fine-tune their ride and unlock in-game content. It isn’t yet clear what content is locked behind the companion app.

Ubisoft first showed off the app at the game’s reveal last E3, detailing its customisation options and snazzy visuals. Little has been seen of it since.
