Ubisoft expects next-gen racer The Crew to sell over 2.5 million units.

Speaking about the publisher’s sales expectations for its next-gen line-up (including its 6.2m prediction for Watch Dogs), Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez explained that The Crew had “a more limited potential” due to the fact it’s a driving game.

It’s also only launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, compared to Watch Dogs’ all-formats release.

“We generally have spoken to about over 2.5 million units,” said Martinez. “We’ll see where we go and we believe that we have a nice potential for the future.”

Ubisoft announced a delay for The Crew last night, pushing it back to calendar Q3 2014. The game had previously been due to launch between January and March 2014.
