Edmund McMillen (Super Meat Boy)and Tyler Glaiel (Closure), both of The Binding of Isaac fame, have released some gameplay footage of the upcoming The End is Nigh.

It looks to have some similarities with Super Meat Boy in that your character can climb up walls by jumping up them, and also use them to launch yourself across the screen. There are crumbling platforms and structures that sink into the ground, bringing you with them if you’re not quick enough.

If you fall to one of the many obstacles, the level resets to its original state and you’re put back to your starting point of the single-screen challenge at a lightning quick pace, though.

Check out the video below to see it for yourself, and check out all the nuggets of information from McMillen from last week.

The End is Nigh is confirmed to be out on PC on July 12, and Nintendo Switch at a later date.Â
