EA has announced plans for a new feature called Be A Pro: Online Team Play, enabling ten people anywhere in the world to connect online to play a single match of FIFA 08.

This new feature will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a free download six to eight weeks after the game ships across Europe on September 28.

Be A Pro: Online Team Play will lock each player into the role of single player for the entire game, challenging players to master the same disciplines as real pros. Gamers will receive real-time feedback and analysis on the fly and a unique camera angle will keep both the player and action in focus.

With only five real-players on each team, this means the remaining players will be AI controlled. It will also be possible to play with free roaming players, much like is the norm in the FIFA series.

Look out for a review of FIFA 08 around the time of its release late next month.
