The development studios behind LittleBigPlanet for PlayStation Vita have been revealed. The handheld game is in the hands of Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven.

“Yes, it’s true. Finally, we can unbutton our mouths! We’re making a brand spanking new instalment of the LittleBigPlanet franchise for the PlayStation Vita, together with the technical ninjas at Double Eleven,” reads a post on the Tarsier website.

“While we can’t say too much just yet, we’ll be releasing loads of info as it is made available; including developer diaries, gameplay videos, and even sticker albums. Alright, maybe not that last one.”

While you might not have heard of Tarsier, the studio has been involved with LittleBigPlanet for many years, making costumes for both PS3 titles. It’s also the studio behind the gorgeous looking, but ill-fated The City of Metronome. Double Eleven haven’t been around for so long, forming in 2009, but are staffed with professions that have worked at Rare and Rockstar.
