Bandai Namco Games has announced that Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will launch in the US and UK on January 11, 2019.

The Definitive Edition features a host of improvements over the original version of the fantasy-RPG, including spruced up visuals, new characters, an expanded story, extra costumes, new music tracks, and heaps more.

In addition, Bamco is releasing a Special Edition of the game, although there's no word yet on what will be included in the pack (though it does appear to feature a swanky steelbook case with Repede on the front).

Presumably it'll be called Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Special Edition, which sounds a bit daft to us.

The original Tales of Vesperia was released for Xbox 360 back in 2008, and later turned up on the PlayStation 3 the following year. It's one of the more popular entries in the venerable Tales of series, so it's probably no surprise to see it getting a Definitive Edition makeover.

Tales of Vesperia is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
