Speaking in a conference call to investors following its fourth quarter financial results, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that there will be no Wii port of Grand Theft Auto IV.
Asked about the possibility of the next-gen GTA making its way to Wii, Zelnick noted: “There are other titles better suited to the Wii than Grand Theft Auto.”
These other titles are likely to be family orientated, such as Carnival Games. The funfair-inspired mini-game collection has shipped over 500,000 units worldwide since its release in August. A version for Nintendo DS is planned for the coming year.
