A Taiwanese teenage named Chuang collapsed and died at an internet cafe after a two day binge on Diablo 3, reports the United Daily News broadsheet (via The Australian).

18 year-old Chuang is reported to have played for 40 hours in a private room at a cafe in Tainan, southern Taiwan, taking no breaks for food.

On the morning of July 15 an attendant entered Chaung’s room to find him resting on a table. The attendant woke him, he stood and then collapsed. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.

Police speculated that long hours in a sedentary position created cardiovascular problems, leading to his death.
