Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together on PSP will be released as a Premium Edition on February 25, Square Enix has confirmed.

The game is a PSP reinvention of the classic strategy RPG, with key members of the original development team coming together to create what Square Enix describes as the “ultimate version” of the game.

Hiroshi Minagawa (director), Yasumi Matsuno (game design & scenario), Akihiko Yoshida (character design), and Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata (composers) return to breath new life into the game on PSP. In addition, renowned illustrator, Tsubasa Masao joins the character design team.

The remake features reworked visuals and effects, a re-arranged soundtrack, new character growth mechanics and the Chariot Tarot and World Tarot systems.

Keeping to its trend of releasing premium edition versions of its PSP titles, Tactics Ogre will also be offered only in Premium form. In addition to the game you’ll get a 44 page hardback artbook, an exclusive Mini Soundtrack CD and a bonus voucher to claim 50 per cent off the purchase of Vagrant Story on PSN.

No pricing has been confirmed, but retailers suggest an rrp of £34.99.

The Premium Edition packaging and bonus items is a very nice touch, offering the game’s admittedly niche audience a range of welcome extras.
