Power Play Pool from System 3 will feature an ultra-realistic 3D engine, thrusting DS players into the skilful world of championship pool. The top screen is used to present the action in full 3D enabling players to view the table from any angle, while the touch screen presents the action from overhead and presumably players use the stylus to line up their shot.

This is a storming little game for the DS and I’m confident it will be a great success for us in 2007. We’ve seen from previous successes in the handheld market that games that offer something different really work and Power Play Pool hits the spot,” said UK Sales Manager, Luis Ferreira.

The game features a host of Pool types including UK and US rules, Eight and Nine ball games and Killer. Players will also be able to take part in cup and league tournaments with 16 world-class players to choose from.

System 3 also says the game will include game sharing for two players, meaning you can challenge a mate with only one copy of the game. If there’s only one DS then you can also play against a real life opponent by passing the DS around.

Power Play Pool is scheduled for release across the UK in June.
