Syndicate, the Starbreeze Studios reboot of the much loved franchise, will be released in North America and Europe on February 21 and 24, respectively, EA has revealed.

The release date confirmation came at an EA showcase event in Vegas, reported by PlayStationLifeStyle.net.

According to EA, Syndicate will deliver a unique and brutal shooter experience set in the not too distant future – 2069 to be precise. Players will take on the role of Miles Kilo, a prototype agent working for Eurocorp, and take part in unique four-player co-op levels.

“We are excited to finally reveal what we’ve been working on the past couple years,” said Mikael Nermark, CEO of Starbreeze Studios back when the game was officially revealed. “It’s been a great experience working with EA, and an amazing opportunity for us to use our expertise in the first person shooter and action genres to bring back, and reignite, the signature action/espionage gameplay of Syndicate.”

The only games currently set in stone for February are 2K’s The Darkness II and Namco Bandai’s Inversion, both of which will appeal to the same action game audience, but are scheduled to hit stores two weeks earlier.
