EA has a “few surprises” in store for Army of Two: The 40th Day downloadabale content.

The tease comes from EA Montreal vice president and general manager Alain Tascan, who spoke to VideoGamer.com at gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

While Tascan was unable to offer firm details of what the DLC might be, he did say it would be more interesting than the addition of maps.

He said: “You will see a few surprises with the downloadable content. People see it only right now as new maps. We will do something more interesting. I can’t really talk about it!

“We will try to bring some new stuff. Looking at how people are playing, and not like putting it down their throat, or buy one more map for £9.99 or whatever it is, you know?”

Army of Two: The 40th Day is due out for Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP on January 8.
