In many ways the successor to the 1997 classic RTS Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander has been one of the most anticipated games over the last few years. The wait for its release is now almost over and to make what time is left pass a little quicker, THQ has released a playable demo.

Coming in at just over 1GB, the demo might take while to download but you will get to try an early segment of the single-player campaign for the Cybran Nation, one of three playable nations in the final game. You’ll also have access to the “Finn’s Revenge” skirmish map which can be attempted on a variety of difficulty settings.

Supreme Commander is scheduled for release across Europe on February 16. See the game in action over on Pro-G TV.
