Chris Taylor let the cat out of the bag last month, but it’s now been confirmed that PC RTS Supreme Commander is coming to Xbox 360. The game will have full support for HD and surround sound, with a release pencilled in for early 2008.

Unlike the PC version, the game won’t be published by THQ, instead in the hands of Aspyr. The Xbox 360 version will feature new units, updated maps and new multiplayer modes with support for Xbox LIVE.

We’re also promised a revised console-specific control scheme, HUD and a new strategic zoom which offers the ability to control troops from afar or get really close at ground level.

Aspyr’s developer-friendly publishing environment delivers 100% on our vision for bringing Supreme Commander to the Xbox 360,” said Chris Taylor, CEO and creative director of Gas Powered Games. “We believe that we’ve raised the bar for RTS gaming on the PC and now, co-developing with Hellbent Games, we know that we can do the same on consoles.
