If you forget all the anger associated with massively delayed European game releases then European gamers can rejoice that Nintendo has confirmed Super Paper Mario for release across the continent on September 14.

A five month release delay aside (the game was released in North America on April 7), Super Paper Mario is likely to be one of the first must have Wii titles for European gamers since Resident Evil 4 launched late last month.

In Super Paper Mario all the characters are flat, but Mario can manipulate the environment around him, flipping the world from 2D to 3D, opening new paths and possibilities.

Along the way players will take control of a host of Mario World characters, including Peach, Bowser and Luigi – each character having their own unique ability, making it possible to overcome different puzzles and obstacles.

Super Paper Mario will launch across Europe only for Wii on September 14.
