Nintendo has slapped a June 28 release date on Super Mario Maker 2, its sequel to 2015's brilliant Wii U DIY platformer.
Much like its predecessor, the upcoming Switch follow-up allows users to cobble together stages using assets from Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros 3. Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U. However, Ninty has now added fresh content to the table in the shape of Super Mario 3D World assets, which means cat powers are now a thing. Great!
In addition, you can now create sloped and angled surfaces, which adds a whole new dimension to the stages you are able to make. Ever wanted Mario to slide down a massive slope filled with Goombas? Now you can.
