Super Mario Galaxy is seen by some fans as the best Mario game since Super Mario 64 (some would even argue that Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel are two of Nintendo’s best games, full stop). Super Mario Odyssey may have something to say about that in October, but in the meantime some talented chaps have set about satisfying the urges of Mario Galaxy fans with a pretty nifty mod. The Neo Mario Galaxy mod for Super Mario Galaxy 2  adds in some new and rather well crafted space levels for fans to have a butchers at.
The Neo Mario Galaxy mod features eight new galaxies on one world map, 22 power stars, custom and remixed music and the return of the ice flower and red star. The mod is definitely something to get excited about if you’re a Mario fan.
It’s important to note that you won’t be able to play this mod on your regular Nintendo Wii or Wii U. Neo Mario Galaxy is an unofficial modification to Super Mario Galaxy 2 that can be played on any homebrew-enabled Wii or Wii U console.Â
