Nintendo has announced the next batch of classic NES games to join Switch Online, with Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels leading the charge for April.
The Lost Levels probably needs no introduction. It was released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2, although it was deemed too difficult for western gamers. As a result, Ninty redesigned Shigeru Miyamoto's Doki Doki Panic and released it over here as the sequel to Super Mario Bros.
Eventually, Japan's Mario Bros. 2 would arrive over here as The Lost Levels as part of Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES. It's tough as nails, and introduces a couple of new gameplay mechanics, including poison mushrooms and strong winds.
Also coming to Switch Online are Punch-Out and Star Soldier, fleshing out the lineup nicely.
