Midway has announced that their forthcoming action-horror sequel, The Suffering: Ties That Bind, is to feature voice work by two Hollywood actors. Most notable is Michael Clark Duncan, who will play Blackmore, a guy who seems to be pulling the strings in the game. Duncan is known for his work in films such as The Green Mile, The Scorpion King and Sin City.

Six Feet Under’s Rachel Griffiths will play the role of Jordan, a woman in charge of a paramilitary research outfit. She teams up with the Torque – the game’s main character – as they battle through Baltimore during the game.

The recognizable names and voices of Michael Clarke Duncan and Rachel Griffiths add to the cinematic and visceral elements that are the hallmarks of The Suffering franchise,” said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. “Their voices and characters play a key role in guiding the game’s hero, Torque, through an edge-of-the-seat American-style horror experience in The Suffering: Ties That Bind.”

The Suffering: Ties That Bind is due in September for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC, and we’ll have a full preview of the game very soon.
