THQ has announced that development of Stuntman: Ignition is underway at Paradigm Entertainment and is scheduled to launch on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 in summer 2007.

As in the first game in the franchise, players will be take the role of a Hollywood stuntman and must create the most insane high-flying jumps, mind-blowing corkscrews and bone-crushing crashes ever filmed.

Players will have to showcase their skills in an array of big-budget action films, commercial shoots and tournaments across a range of more than 25 unique vehicles. These will include exotic sports cars, motorcycles and hovercraft.

The game will also feature online multiplayer action where rival stuntmen can battle it out on the film sets, custom built back-lot arenas, and in player created stunt runs and challenges.

Stuntman: Ignition delivers an addictive blend of death-defying stunts and precision-based driving unlike anything seen before,” said Dave Gatchel, General Manager, Paradigm Studios. “With an action-packed career mode and intense online multiplayer, gamers will have plenty to prove to become Hollywood’s next big stuntman.

Expect more on the game in the coming weeks.
