Streets of Rage 4 is launching on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Dotemu and Lizardcube have announced. Also announced was new playable character Cherry Hunter — the daughter of the original Streets of Rage's Adam Hunter and the niece of Streets of Rage 2's Skate.
On the PlayStation Blog, Dotemu communications manager Jessica Richard said that Cherry is 'a self-defense expert, trained by her father and Axel, and while she may not be the buffest character on the roster, she’s definitely one of the fastest. Cherry will be the perfect choice for players who love rock music, fast action, and neon colors.'
Check out the video below to see the game in all its cheesy glory, as Cherry whips out an electric guitar and somehow downs her attackers by strumming it. It's nonsensical, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
