Street Fighter will come to PS4 and Xbox One at “some time or other”, but Capcom doesn’t have any plans to bring the series to Wii U, producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed.

Responding to a fan asking if players would see Street Fighter on PS4 and Xbox One in the future, Ono tweeted: “Hahaha, some time or other… :P”

He later told another fan: “I apologize that we don’t have plan for wii U”.

Capcom has yet to talk plans for the next Street Fighter, but has previously shrugged off rumours that Street Fighter V will adopt a pay-to-win model designed to encourage beginners.

“The SFV news [in June] about a pay to win model is not accurate and isn’t something we’re planning for,” Ono tweeted in June. “Sorry for the confusion! We’re still in early planning stages and will share more at a later date.”

The latest Street Fighter, Super Street Fighter IV Ultra Edition, landed on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC earlier this month.
