Street Fighter V continues to receive attention from Capcom’s medics, slowly bringing the game’s matchmaking functionality up to a level of service which is acceptable.
Things are looking up for the game, but the publisher admits both Matchmaking and Battle Lounges aren’t yet functioning as intended.
“Matchmaking for Ranked and Casual battles is continuingly being improved for most users. Throughout the weekend and after the server reset, most players should be matched up with opponents at a quicker rate than before,” reads the Capcom-Unity Blog.
“We understand players in Europe, the Middle East and some other territories are still running into issues with slow matchmaking. The server team is aware of this and will be continuing to look for ways to improve this issue.
“Our goal is to provide the best online experience for all users, and if you are not in a region that has a large number of users with stable connections it will take longer to find a suitable opponent. Again, we will continue to look at this issue and find ways to circumvent longer than intended wait times for matchmaking.”
Regarding Battle Lounges, the blog explained: “Improvements to Battle Lounges have been made in that users should not get disconnected once they are in a lounge. That said, the ability to search and join Battle Lounges still needs improvement as it is not functioning as intended.
“We’ll be looking at this over the coming weeks and hope to fix the issue soon.”
The continued work to bring the game up to scratch could also include the introduction of an Arcade Mode, a rep recently revealed.
