Street Fighter 5 will remain exclusive to PS4 and PC throughout the life of the title, Capcom has confirmed. That means that any future versions, such as a Super or Ultra Street Fighter 5, will never see a release on Xbox One.

“One comment we see a lot is that something like a Super Street Fighter 5 is going to come out on Xbox,” a Capcom representative told GameSpot. “But the reality is that this is a real partnership. We are console exclusive for this franchise for this numbered run.”

Street Fighter 5 was announced as a PS4 console-exclusive last December, and is the result of a “strategic partnership between Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and Capcom”.

The game is due to release during the current financial year, with a launch date tipped for March 2016. Expect further info during Sony’s E3 press conference next week.
