Capcom’s already come out and confirmed a release date of March 13 for its highly anticipated survival horror sequel Resident Evil 5, but so far is remaining very tight-lipped regarding the release date of its other AAA title Street Fighter IV.
However, speaking to X-Play Street Fighter IV producer Yoshi Ono has narrowed the game’s release to either January or February 2009.
“We don’t want to start rumours that it’s this year, but definitely this winter. At some point you’ll be sitting in your winter coat looking at snow out the window… and right then we’ll kind of heat you up a little with some hot Street Fighter action so look forward to that,” he said.
Street Fighter IV will form what appears to be a very strong line-up for the early part of 2009, which also includes Resident Evil 5 and Bionic Commando.
