After winning plenty of praise at E3, wowing onlookers with its action packed, bullet-filled gameplay, and destructible environments, Stranglehold was looking like one of the must have next-gen titles of 2006. Sadly, Midway has announced the title will now miss its planned 2006 release, instead arriving in Q1 2007.
The game had been expected to arrive at the PS3 launch, and joins Midway’s other AAA release Unreal Tournament 2007, in slipping into 2007. No reasons were given to explain the delay, but PS3, Xbox 360 and PC gamers now have something to look forward to during the traditional release lull in the New Year.
