Steins; Gate Elite has been delayed in the US and UK, with Spike Chunsoft confirming at the Anime Expo 2018 the game has been booted out of 2018 and into early next year.

Due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch, Steins; Gate Elite features some extra goodies depending on your platform of choice.

The PS4 and PC versions will ship with a spruced up version of Steins; Gate Phenogram, which features 10 additional stories penned by writers including Kotaro Uchikoshi. Meanwhile, the Switch edition adds Steins; Gate 8-bit, a retro-flavoured version of the original game developed by creator Chiyomaru Shikura.

Steins; Gate Elite is a remastered version of 2009's Steins; Gate, featuring fully animated scenes plucked from the popular anime. In addition featuring prettier visuals, the game's branching storyline remains intact, allowing players to shape their adventure based on the choices they make throughout.

Aside from the video games, Steins; Gate spawned a multimedia juggernaut that includes a manga, drama CDs, a movie, live-action stage play, and of course the anime.
