Nintendo has announced Steel Diver: Sub Wars on Nintendo 3DS, a first-person follow-up to 2011’s side-scrolling submarine simulation Steel Diver.

Available in both free and Premium editions on the Nintendo 3DS eShop from today, Sub Wars is described as a “tactical first-person shooter” that tasks players with destroying enemy submarines and engaging in 4-on-4 battles with friends.

The free version includes access to two submarine types, the full multiplayer mode and a portion of the single-player campaign, with the full campaign and additional subs becoming unlocked after upgrading to the premium version.
