Indie hit SteamWorld Dig is to release on Xbox One by late May, Image & Form Games has announced.

The Xbox One version promises to include a number of tweaks to make the game “better overall”, along with an “elaborate Easter egg” developed specifically for the console.

“We’re overjoyed by the fact that we’ll soon have our first Xbox release,” Image & Form said. “Xbox fans have been asking for quite a while and now we can finally let them get their hands on the game.”

SteamWorld Dig first launched on Nintendo 3DS in summer 2013, before arriving on PC, Wii U, PS4 and PS Vita at a later date. A firm release date for the Xbox One version will be announced “in the near future”.
