SteamWorld Dig 2Â is making its way to PC and PlayStation 4, as well as the previously announced Nintendo Switch, developer Image &Â Form announced on its website.
The studio said that the plan is to get the game on PS4 and Steam ‘within a few days of the Nintendo Switch debut,’ before adding that Nintendo’s hybrid console is still very much the lead platform, and these newly announced versions won’t hinder development time on Switch.
‘Dig 2 is pretty much finished now, but we’ll take a few more months to polish the game to the level you all expect,’ the studio continued, before confirming a sceduled launch window of late Summer / early Autumn.
The original first released on 3DS before coming to PC, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One and Wii U, and Image & Form made sure to address the possibility of SteamWorld Dig 2 coming to handhelds, stating ‘Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita are still important to us. We won’t talk more about portable versions today, but rest assured we have not forgotten where we came from.’
