DICE has patched the PC version Battlefield: Bad Company 2, fixing numerous bugs and implementing some user interface improvements.

The update is out now for the standard Windows PC version, with an update to the Steam version requiring a little more testing – its release should follow pretty quickly.

The good news for Steam players is the removal of the loathed SecuROM copy protection system, which is bring replaced with Steam’s own protection.
