State of Decay fans looking to upgrade from the Xbox 360 version to the Xbox One version only have until June 30, 2015 to take advantage of the 33 per cent discount, Microsoft has confirmed.

The promotion offers those who have previously purchased the Xbox 360 version a third off a digital copy of State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition. But the transaction must be completed by June 30 in order to receive the money off.

The discount does not apply to the physical Xbox One version or digital copies purchased outside the Xbox Games Store.

While a UK price has yet to be confirmed, State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is due to cost $29.99 in the US when it goes on sale on April 28, suggesting returning fans will be able to grab it for just $19.99.

The Xbox One version features “fully remastered” 1080p visuals, along with additional DLC packs Lifeline, Breakdown and more.

A Day One Edition featuring an SKS Fireman, Prepper SUV and Folding Axe Melee Weapon will also be available to early buyers.
