Undead Labs' zombie-mashing sequel State of Decay 2 is just around the corner, and to celebrate the studio has exhumed a fresh brain-splattering gameplay trailer highlighting what players need to do to survive the undead apocalypse. In short? Aim for the head.
Okay, to be fair there's a lot more to it than that (growing crops, eating and generally keeping your health is pretty vital, oddly enough) but when it comes to zombies, that's pretty much the general rule of the thumb.
To be honest, I'm still waiting for a game to give us something similar to Bub the Friendly Zombie from George A. Romero's Day of the Dead. Bub didn't eat brains; he read Stephen King books and listened to rousing national anthems. Wouldn't that be a refreshing take on the genre?
Anyway, you can check out the latest footage on State of Decay 2 below. The game will be shambling into stores exclusively for Xbox One on May 22. It also comes in a Collector's Edition featuring a rubbish-looking mask if you fancy it.
