Stardew Valley developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has announced that the beloved farming sim RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch this Thursday, October 5.
‘I’m very happy to see Stardew come to a Nintendo console… I grew up on Nintendo, after all!’ Barone announced in a blog post on the official Stardew Valley website before adding ‘This will not only be the first time Stardew Valley appears on a Nintendo platform, but also the first time Stardew will be on a portable system.’
Sickhead Games is the studio that has looked after the port and, according to ConcernedApe, ‘deserve all the credit!’ Sickhead is no stranger to a port having brought many PC indie titles to consoles before such as Salt and Sanctuary to Vita, Darkest Dungeon to PS4 and Vita, and Stardew Valley itself to PlayStation and Xbox One late last year.
Stardew Valley will cost $14.99 and will be available via the Switch eShop.
