Farm-'em-up hit Stardew Valley will finally be planting seeds on PlayStation Vita from May 22, ConcernedApe has announced on the EU PlayStation Blog.

The game will arrive on Sony's handheld as a Cross-Buy title, which means you'll only need to purchase it once to enjoy it on both PS Vita and PlayStation 4. This also means that if you already own it on PS4 you can download the portable version free of charge.

Stardew Valley's addictive blend of farm management and crop-growing has enjoyed great success on other formats since its release in 2016, selling over 3.5 million copies worldwide as of late last year.

The premise is simple. You inherit your grandad's old farm with nowt but a few coins to your name, and begin the process of restoring it to its former glory by raising various livestock and planting crops. You can also venture into a nearby mine and duke it out with its resident monsters before chatting with townsfolk and relaxing on the beach.

It's just like real life. Sorta.
