Country-life RPG Stardew Valley will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on December 14, but there’s bad news for WIi U gamers.
Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, says the game will no longer be released on the Wii U, shifting development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch.
“I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley,” explained Barone. “I do want to emphasise that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this.”
In Stardew Valley players begin with a plot of land, some hand-me down tools, and a small amount of money, with the hope of starting a new life living off the land and becoming part of the local community.
